Australia Business - Investor (Residence)

891 - Investor (Residence)
After holding a Business Skills Investor (Provisional) visa an Investor can then apply for one of the following permanent visa categories providing you meet all the requirements:

- Investor (Residence) visa
- State Territory Sponsored Investor (Residence) visa;
- Business Owner (Residence) visa OR
- State Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Residence) visa;

There is no points test for this visa.

Main Criteria

To make an application for the Investor (Residence) visa, you will need to show that you:

- hold an Investor (Provisional) visa;
- have maintained your designated investments for the minimum 4 years; and
- Have been in Australia as the holder of a qualifying visa for at least 2 years in the last 4 years.
- have no history of unacceptable business activities
- have a genuine and realistic commitment to continue to maintain a business or investment activity in Australia after your 4 year investment has matured

New Zealand - New Zealand delays updated skills shortage list

The revised Essential Skills in Demand Lists, which include the Long Term Skill Shortage List and the Immediate Skill Shortage List were scheduled to come into effect on 01 December 2008. It is now expected that the updated lists will not come into effect until 03 March 2009. Read more >
