Australia - Skilled (Work) Visas

 

175-Skilled Indipendent Class

In this sub-category you are not required to be sponsored by an Australian relative, State or Territory but you must be able to achieve the pass mark for this visa in the General Points Test.
This is a permanent visa allowing the holder to travel to, enter and remain in Australia for a period of 5 years from the date of grant and is renewable.

176-Skilled Sponsored Class

In this sub-category you must be sponsored by a suitable Australian relative or nominated by a State or Territory government agency (and the nomination accepted) and you must be able to achieve the pass mark for this visa in the General Points Test.
This is a permanent visa allowing the holder to travel to, enter and remain in Australia for a period of 5 years from the date of grant and is renewable.

475-Skilled Regional Sponsored Class

In this sub-category you must be sponsored by a suitable Australian relative living in a designated area or nominated by a State/Territory (and your nomination accepted) and you must be able to achieve the pass mark for this visa in the General Points Test.
This is a 3 year temporary or provisional visa.
To qualify for permanent residency you will need to demonstrate that you have complied with the conditions of your provisional visa and that you have been employed full-time for at least one year and lived for at least two years in a Regional or Low Growth area nominated by a State or Territory or in a Designated Area if sponsored by a relative.


887-Skilled Regional Class
To be eligible to apply for a Skilled - Regional (Residence) you must already hold a 495, 496, 475 or a 487 visa.
The 887 is a permanent visa allowing the holder to travel to, enter and remain in Australia for a period of 5 years from the date of grant and is renewable.
