Business Skill Visas
Australia is keen to attract people who have skills in developing business and offers several different visa options in the Business Skills category.
These visas are for experienced business people who would manage a new or existing business, establish a business or invest in Australia.
Since March 2003 a two-stage structure has applied which means that all applicants (except for Business Talent visa applicants) have to apply for a provisional (temporary) visa first. As the holder of the provisional visa once you have successfully operated your business or maintained your investment for up to four years you would be eligible to apply for a permanent residency visa.
Visa applications in this category are complex. The criteria provided here are only guidelines and you should seek advice about your own specific circumstances.
