132 - Business Talent


The Business Talent (Migrant) visa is a permanent residence visa available to high-calibre business persons who are owners or part owners of an overseas business and have a genuine and realistic commitment to participate in the management of a new or existing business in Australia
It is a permanent residence visa without a provisional stage. You must have State or Territory government sponsorship for this business visa category.

There is no points test for this visa.

Main Criteria

You will need to evidence that you:

-> are under 55 years old unless exceptional circumstances exist
-> have an overall successful business career;
-> for at least 2 out of the last 4 fiscal years you have;

        1. significant net business assets of at least A$400,000 in a qualifying business AND
        2. if the business was a publicly listed company then your shareholding was at least 10% of the total issued capital of the business;
    -> have achieved a an annual turnover in your business of A$3,000,000 for at least 2 out of the last 4 fiscal years;
- >have significant business and personal assets of at least A$1,500,000;

have no history of unacceptable business activities

-> have a commitment to maintain an ownership interest in a business in Australia and be involved in the direct and continuous management of that business.
